Mooring Services
Inspection, repair and certification
BMS have over 30 years of experience in mooring inspection and repair. Most inspections take about an hour or less. Inspections include pulling most of the chain onto the deck of the barge to inspect. Once the chain is straight up and down to the weight our diver will go down to inspect the remaining part of the mooring that is underwater, including the ground chain, weight and connections. If previously instructed by you we will then make any necessary repairs to the mooring , including chain and shackle replacement. If there appears to be a much larger problem with the mooring including weight addition or replacement BMS will consult you before continuing.
Barge Services
The BMS barge is 33’ long and 8’ wide, it is powered by an inboard diesel engine, this allows us to get into most locations. The BMS barge is ideal for transporting items to locations only accessible by boat. Our barge also makes a great work platform for working on docks, bridges and even other vessels. We are able to fit under most bridges in Bermuda. Contact us for details and barge rental rates.
Diving Services
BMS has highly skilled certified divers. Our diving services include hull inspection , hull cleaning and propeller changing. BMS are also equipped to undertake video for survey purposes. We can do underwater inspection and repair to vessels, docks and pipelines. We also specialize in underwater recovery for lost moorings. Contact us with your specific needs and a quote.
Dock installation and repair
BMS is equipped to deal with dock repair and construction. We also have extensive experience with floating dock sourcing and installation. Contact us with your specific needs.
Salvage
BMS has extensive experience in salvaging boats. We can refloat vessels up to 30 feet. We can also turn over vessels that have rolled on their moorings. Contact us for a quote.
